About Shirin Neshat
Shirin Neshat, born on March 26th, 1957 in Qazvin, Iran, is an Iranian screenwriter and artist. She is best known for her work “Logic of the Birds.” Before entering the world of art and film, she pursued her education at UC Berkeley for both her undergraduate and graduate studies.
Neshat’s family faced adversity during the Iranian Revolution as they lost all their wealth. Despite this hardship, they were determined to rebuild their lives from scratch. Her father was a physician in Qazvin which is recognized as a religious province.
