About Shim Suk-hee
Shim Suk-hee (born January 30, 1997) is a South Korean short track speed skater known for her international success. She gained fame for winning a gold medal as part of the South Korean 3000 meter relay team at the 2014 Winter Olympics and securing the overall crown at that year’s World Championships.
She began her short track speed skating journey as a hobby at age 6 and has since achieved significant career milestones. At the 2018 World Championships, she won gold medals in both the 1,000 and 3,000 meter races. Additionally, Shim secured back-to-back World Cup titles in the overall category in 2012 and 2013.
Born in Gangneung, South Korea, Shim Suk-hee continues to be celebrated for her achievements on the ice. She has proved herself as a formidable force in international speed skating competitions.
