About Shi’ann Jones
Shi’ann Jones is a pop singer best known for her appearance on the 13th season of The Voice. She was born on February 11, 2002 in Paducah, Kentucky.
She gained recognition after auditioning with Ray Charles’s song “Drown in My Own Tears” and joining Jennifer Hudson‘s team. Under Hudson’s coaching, she advanced to the Top 12 and performed songs by Ariana Grande and Beyonce during her time on the show.
Prior to her television debut, Shi’ann began singing at age seven in church alongside her father. She got involved in talent contests at eight years old and further honed her skills singing at local sports games.
In 2015, she garnered attention by recording a video of herself performing the national anthem and sending it to every NBA team in the country. This led to an opportunity to sing before a Utah jazz game after being flown out to Utah.
She comes from a large family with nine siblings. Her father, Ricky Jones, was a gospel singer who traveled around performing at various churches.
