Sherry Shi (born February 26, 2002) is an American-Chinese fashion model and businesswoman known for her prolific runway appearances during the Fashion Week 2022-2023 season. With a growing social media presence, she has amassed over 90,000 followers on Instagram and 150,000 on TikTok. Additionally, Shi has been featured in Vogue magazine.
Prior to her modeling career taking off, Shi’s older sister Angel was involved in modeling with a local Texas agency. At age 13, a scout at her sister’s agency encouraged Sherry to undergo modeling training classes despite standing at only 5’7″ tall at the time. It wasn’t until she experienced significant growth at the age of 16 that she was introduced to top New York agencies and ultimately chose IMG as her representation.
An interesting fact about Shi is that she dedicated four years to perfecting her unique runway walk by studying models such as Mariacarla Boscono, Natasha Poly, Vittoria Ceretti, and Kaia Gerber through videos after school. She also balanced her modeling career with pursuing a college degree in marketing.
Shi was born and raised in Houston, Texas by immigrant Chinese parents alongside two older sisters—one of whom also pursued a career in modeling.
