She has made significant contributions to the film industry and is best known for her roles as CEO of Paramount Pictures and president of production at 20th Century Fox. Notably, she broke new ground by becoming the first woman to head a Hollywood studio.
Prior to her rise in the entertainment industry, Lansing attended the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools before making her mark in Hollywood.
