About Sherri Martel
Sherri Martel, born on February 8, 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama, was a professional wrestler who competed in the WWF, AWA, ECW, and WCW. She won the WWF Women’s Championship in her WWF debut in 1987 and captured three AWA World Women’s Championships during her career. Martel decided at a young age that she wanted to be a wrestler but didn’t start training until she was an adult. In 2006, she was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Throughout her life, Martel was married three times and had one child – a son.
