Shelby Lynne Feet

Shelby Lynne, born on October 22, 1968 in Quantico, Virginia, is an American country singer. In 2001, she won the Best New Artist Grammy Award and also founded Everso Records, an independent label. Prior to her music career, Lynne experienced a tragic family event when her father killed her mother and then himself; as a result, she and her sister went to live with relatives. Despite these challenges, she gained initial recognition as a contestant on TV’s Nashville Now. A #1 US Heat album titled Love, Shelby was charted by Lynne in 2001. She has a younger sister named Allison Moorer who is also involved in the country music industry.
