About Shaunae Miller-Uibo
Shaunae Miller-Uibo is a Bahamian sprinter who was born on April 15, 1994, in Nassau, Bahamas. She is best known for her gold medal win in the 400 meters at the 2016 Summer Olympics representing the Bahamas. Additionally, she achieved gold in the same event at the 2017 IAAF World Relays and has earned multiple medals at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics.
Prior to her athletic career taking off, Miller-Uibo graduated from St. Augustine’s College in Nassau and went on to attend the University of Georgia. In June 2017, she set a world record for the straight-line version of the 200-meter race with an impressive time of 21.76 seconds.
In terms of personal life, Shaunae married Estonian decathlete Maicel Uibo in 2017.
