About Shauna Coxsey
Shauna Coxsey, born on January 27, 1993 in Cheshire, England, is a competitive rock climber known for her success in bouldering competitions. She made a swift rise in the sport after accumulating numerous gold medals from 2012 onwards. Notably, she achieved four gold medals at the Climbing World Cup in 2016 alone.
Shauna’s climbing journey began at the age of four and she was influenced by French free climber Catherine Destiville early on. At just seven years old, she started participating in competitions.
In recognition of her accomplishments in climbing, Shauna was honored as a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2016. Additionally, she secured sponsorships from Five Ten and Adidas.
Hailing from Runcorn, Cheshire, England where she grew up; Shauna Coxsey continues to make an impact through her achievements and contributions to the world of rock climbing.
