Sharni Layton Feet

Sharni Layton (born January 6, 1988) is a professional netball player from Mordialloc, Australia. She has had a successful career as an athlete, notably contributing to Australia’s gold medal win at the 2014 Commonwealth Games after a drought of 12 years.

Layton has showcased her talent with the Adelaide Thunderbirds and claimed two premierships during her time with the team.

Layton began her professional career in 2004 with the Melbourne Kestrels before moving on to join the Australian Institute of Sport in 2007.

Her representation for Australia started in 2006 when she became part of the U21 squad and went on to secure gold medals at both Netball World Championships in 2011 and 2015.

Outside of sports, Layton hails from Mordialloc, Victoria where she spent much of her upbringing.
