About Shari Headley
Shari Headley is most well-known for her role as Mimi Reed on All My Children, and also for playing Lisa McDowell in 1988’s Coming to America. She recently starred in OWN’s soap opera The Haves and the Have Nots. Her career began with an appearance on The Cosby Show back in 1985, which was quickly followed by a role on Miami Vice the following year. Between 2004 and 2007 she had a recurring part on The Bold and the Beautiful as Heather Engle. Shari grew up in Queens, New York, and married hip hop artist Christopher Play Martin in 1993 – though they divorced two years later; they have one son together called Skyler. In the late ’90s she co-starred alongside Jesse L. Martin in Fox’s short-lived series 413 Hope St.
