About Shannon Tweed
Shannon Tweed started out as a Playboy model in the 80s and went on to star in Hot Dog…The Movie in 1984. She then took the lead role in Electra (1996) and had a supporting role in Dead Sexy (2001). Prior to all this, she competed in beauty pageants, coming fourth place at Miss Canada Pageant of 1978. Her big break came when she was named Playmate of the Year 1982 – which opened up opportunities for her acting career. Shannon began dating KISS frontman Gene Simmons during this time, and finally tied the knot with him 2011; together they have two children: Nicholas and Sophie. Most recently, she appeared alongside Edward Furlong in Detroit Rock City (1999).
