About Shannon Rowbury
Shannon Rowbury is a professional runner from San Francisco, California. She has represented the United States in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics and has held records in the 1500 meters event. Before her athletic career, she studied English and Theatre at Duke University where she also competed in cross country and track and field. Rowbury graduated in 2007.
In addition to her Olympic achievements, Rowbury won a bronze medal in the World Championships for the 1500 meters event in 2009. With an Instagram following of over 20,000 followers on her account @shannonrowbury, she maintains a strong presence on social media.
