Shannon Richardson, born on August 31, 1977 in Texas, is a criminal known for her involvement in the mailing of letters tainted with ricin to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Barack Obama. In 2014, she began serving a nearly two-decade prison sentence for her actions.
Prior to her criminal activities, Richardson pursued a career as an actress and appeared as an extra in episodes of The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries.
She initially told police that her husband had sent the poisoned letters to politicians; however, it was later revealed that she had mailed the letters herself in an attempt to frame her estranged spouse.
In 2014, Richardson’s marriage to her third husband ended. While in police custody, she gave birth to her sixth child – a son named Brody.
