Shannon Purser, born on June 27, 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia, is a TV actress known for her breakout role as Barb Holland in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. She then secured a series regular role as Ethel Muggs in The CW’s Riverdale and starred as the lead character in the film Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.
Prior to her acting career, Purser worked at a movie theater before deciding to pursue acting full-time. Notably, she would later attend Kennesaw State University.
In her personal life, Purser has a younger sister and publicly came out as bisexual in April 2017.
