Shannon MacMillan is a former American soccer player, born on October 7, 1974 in New York. She is best known for her impressive career as a U.S. national star, earning 176 caps and scoring 60 goals during her 12 years of international play. Prior to achieving fame in the soccer world, MacMillan won the prestigious Herman Trophy for best collegiate female soccer player while attending the University of Portland in 1995.

MacMillan was one of the original members of the WUSA’s San Diego Spirit and has made significant contributions to women’s soccer both domestically and internationally. She continues to be an influential figure within the sport and remains an inspiration to aspiring athletes.

Away from her professional endeavors, she prioritizes family life and shares a child with her husband Kenneth.
