Shanna Reed (born October 30, 1955) is an American actress known for her role as Polly Cooper McGills on the TV show Major Dad, appearing in 96 episodes from 1989 to 1993. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Reed has also made appearances in popular TV series such as Cheers, T.J. Hooker, Fantasy Island, and Beverly Hills, 90210.
Prior to her breakout role on Major Dad, she began her career with a role as Terry Decker on the soap opera Texas from 1980 to 1981. She also had early television appearances in The Dukes of Hazzard and Newhart in 1983.
In addition to her work on Major Dad and other television shows like The Colbys and For Love and Honor (where she appeared in twelve episodes), she married Terrence O’Hara in 1986 and together they have two children.
