Shang Chunsong is a Chinese gymnast who was born on March 18, 1996, in China. She first gained attention for her accomplishments at the 2014 Asian Games, where she medalled four times, securing a gold medal as part of the Chinese team. Prior to this, she achieved success at the National Games in 2013, claiming gold in the uneven bars, floor exercise and all-around categories.
Shang’s journey in gymnastics began when she debuted as a senior gymnast in 2012. She went on to become the Chinese national all-around champion in both 2015 and 2016.
Born into a financially disadvantaged family from Hunan, Shang has an older brother named Shang Lei. After her victory at the 2013 Chinese National Games, she used her winnings to purchase a house for her brother.
