About Saranya Mohan
Saranya Mohan (born February 19, 1989) is an Indian movie actress. She began her acting career as a child when director Fazil discovered her dancing and cast her in the film Aniyathi Pravu in 1997. After appearing in several movies, she took a hiatus from acting to focus on her studies.
Returning to the industry in 2005 with the film Oru Naal Oru Kanavu, it was her role as Pooja in Yaaradi Nee Mohini that brought her critical acclaim and accolades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Joseph’s College for Women and a master’s degree from Annamalai University.
In 2014, she made her Bollywood debut playing Sapna in Shailesh Verma’s Badlapur Boys. Saranya comes from a family of classically trained dancers; both of her parents run a dance school together. In 2015, she married Aravind Krishnan, with whom she has a son named Anantapadmanabhan Aravind.
