Sarah Olaniran, born on November 12, 1995 in Nigeria, is a professional dancer, choreographer, social media influencer and entrepreneur. She is better known by her online persona SayRahChips and has gained fame for sharing dancing-related content across various social media platforms. Olaniran has played a significant role in popularizing African dance and Afrobeat music.
Olaniran’s passion for dance began at a young age after being inspired by her older sister. She later moved to the United States to pursue higher education and graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in dance.
She holds certification as a professional dancer from the Society for the Performing Arts of Nigeria and serves as the CEO of Rah Dance Collective. Additionally, she openly identifies as an out lesbian.
Olaniran was raised in southwestern Nigeria alongside her older sister who also had an interest in dance. Sadly, their father passed away in 2008.
