About Sarah Nettleton
Sarah Nettleton (born October 1, 1950) is an American eco-friendly architect known for her work in sustainable design. She was awarded the AIA Architect of Distinction award in 2012 and established the Minneapolis-St.Paul-based Sarah Nettleton Architects.
Nettleton gained recognition for her eco-friendly designs, including receiving National Awards for The Tofte Cabin. Prior to her architectural career, she earned a B.A. and M.A. from Tulane University.
In addition to her professional achievements, Nettleton has been known for her appearances on The Nate Berkus Show, Oprah & Friends Radio, and local television where she often discusses sustainable design practices.
Beyond architecture, Nettleton’s interest in the arts and the environment led her to serve on various community service organizations in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Her family has a background in finance; her grandfather founded the mortgage firm Lomas & Nettleton.
