She passed away at the remarkable age of 119 years and 97 days. As of June 2023, she remains the third oldest documented person of all time.
Remarkably, Sarah was not known to have suffered from any illness at the time of her death. In her early adulthood, she worked as a seamstress and office manager before becoming a homemaker.
Trivia about Sarah includes that she lived through seven United States Presidential administrations and held the title of being the oldest documented living person from the United States.She was Amelia and Walter Clark’s daughter; she outlived her husband Abraham Lincoln Knauss by more than three decades.
