About Sarah Hay
Sarah Hay is a professional ballet dancer turned actress, born on September 16, 1987 in Princeton, New Jersey. She began her career in Germany at the age of 22 with the Semperoper Ballet. Her role as Claire Robbins in the Starz mini-series “Flesh and Bone” earned her a Best Actress award at the Satellite Awards and nominations from the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Television Awards.
Before gaining recognition as an actress, Sarah trained at the School of American Ballet in New York City and later attended the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet at the American Ballet Theatre.
In addition to her achievements in television, Hay was also part of the Corps De Ballet in the Academy Award-winning film “Black Swan.” She has since taken on a recurring role in Showtime’s “I’m Dying Up Here” and appeared in an episode of HBO’s anthology series “Room 104.”
Hay comes from a family with artistic inclinations – both her parents were amateur dancers and psychologists while she has an older brother who is an opera singer alongside a sister.
