Sara Taylor, born on September 15, 1974 in Iowa, is a politician known for her role as the Director of the White House Office of Political Affairs and Deputy Assistant to President George W. Bush during his presidency. She reported to Karl Rove.
Before entering politics, Taylor graduated from Drake University and worked at a polling firm. In 2007, she resigned after testifying before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the controversy surrounding the dismissal of U.S. Attorneys.
Taylor comes from a political family; her father, Ray Taylor, was an Iowa state representative.
