Sara Amato (born November 13, 1980) is an American professional wrestler known by her ring name Sara Del Rey. Born in Martinez, California, she pursued a career in wrestling after dropping out of college and receiving training at the All Pro Wrestling boot camp.
Del Rey became a veteran of the Chikara and Shimmer promotions before signing with WWE in 2012. She made history as the first female trainer in NXT, WWE’s development branch. In addition to her accomplishments within the industry, Del Rey was included on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list of top 500 wrestlers in the world.
Outside of her professional life, she has been involved romantically with fellow wrestler Claudio Castagnoli since 2011.
