About Sandra Roelofs
Sandra Roelofs, born on December 23, 1968, in the Netherlands, is best known as the wife of President Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia. She also pursued a career as a linguist and studied at the Institute of Foreign Languages in Brussels, Belgium and the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.
Roelofs is also an author who published a memoir titled The Story of an Idealist in 2005. Alongside her husband, she raised two sons named Eduard and Nikoloz.
