Sana Safi, born on January 11, 1989 in Kabul, Afghanistan, is a journalist known for her work as a presenter on BBC Pashto’s TV show. She achieved a milestone by being the first journalist to interview Rula Ghani, the Lebanese-American First Lady of Afghanistan. With over 2.6 million followers on her Instagram account @sanasafinazofficial, she has garnered a significant social media presence.
Having left Afghanistan for London in 2007, Sana Safi started her career path as a presenter and producer for a children’s program in Jalalabad before joining the BBC Afghan’s Afghan Woman Hour program.
