Samuel Matete Feet

Samuel Matete, born on July 27, 1968 in Zambia, is a renowned hurdler who achieved an Olympic silver medal in the 400 meters at the 1996 Atlanta Games. His impressive races were characterized by his exceptional speed during the final stretch.

Matete made his competitive international debut with a notable fifth place finish at the 1988 World Junior Championships. In addition to this, he set an African record with a time of 47.1 seconds in 1991. He and his siblings grew up in Chingola, Zambia.
