About Samantha Mogwe
Samantha Mogwe is a Botswana-born soul singer, known for her work in the neo-soul and R&B genres. She gained recognition after winning the Gabz Karaoke Idols competition in 2004 and representing Botswana at African Idols.
Before her musical career took off, Samantha was the second runner-up on My African Dream Junior in 2003. She further pursued her education by earning a degree in Theology from the Baptist Theological College in Randburg.
Throughout her career, Samantha has been part of the Inside Out collective and has achieved popularity with singles like “Transition” and “You.” In addition to her musical endeavors, she also collaborated with PSI Botswana on a video aimed at spreading HIV/AIDS awareness, which won the Best Team Spirit award at the PSI Summit in 2012.
Born on May 24th, 1988 in Serowe, Botswana to a Motswana father and Zambian mother, Samantha Mogwe got married in 2014.
