Samantha James, born on June 13, 1979 in Los Angeles, California, is a pop singer known for her work in the dance and pop genres. One of her notable albums is the 2007 release titled Rise, featuring the chart-topping title track on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

James developed an interest in dance music during her teenage years; however, she faced personal trials when she lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of thirteen.

In 2011, Samantha released a song called “Wings of Faith” as a tribute to victims of the Japanese tsunami.

Notably, Samantha James has familial ties to acclaimed musician David Rose; he is her grandfather.
