Salma Malhas (born January 1, 2001) is a Palestinian TV actress known for her role as Mira in Netflix’s first Arabic series, Jinn. The 2019 series sparked controversy for its portrayal of teenagers engaging in cursing and kissing. In addition to her work on Jinn, she also appeared in the 2021 short film Tallahassee.
Before finding fame, Malhas learned about the role in Jinn from her theatre teacher at school, where they held auditions. She has also been involved in other projects such as the short film Orange Blossom. In 2020, she used her platform to discuss struggles with body image on Instagram.
Malhas was born and raised in Palestine.
