About Sakura Yosozumi
Sakura Yosozumi (born March 15, 2002) is a professional skateboarder from Iwade, Japan. She is known for her exceptional performance in skateboarding competitions, securing gold medals at the Asian Games, World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Before gaining fame as a skateboarder, she dedicated five hours after school on weekdays to training. Notably, at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, she made history by winning the first-ever Olympic women’s park skateboarding event.
Yosozumi hails from a family of two siblings and has an older brother.
