Safia Flowers, also known as jazz, is an R&B singer born on April 18, 1983, in the United States. She is one half of the R&B duo Black Buddafly with her twin sister Amina. The pair have achieved success with the release of two mixtapes since their debut in 2005.
Black Buddafly was discovered by their manager Orrin Ennis in November of 2002. Their single “Bad Girl” featuring Fabolous was featured on the Waist Deep soundtrack.
Safia was born Safietou Schmahl to a German mother and a Senegalese father. Her elder sister Sophie was once a member of Black Buddafly. Safia is married to Victor Flowers and they have a son named Kaya Jace.
