About Sadaf Taherian
Sadaf Taherian is an Iranian actress known for her bold protest against Iran’s laws requiring the traditional hijab. Born on July 21, 1988, in Tehran, Iran, she made her acting debut in the 2010 short film Filmi Kutah Baray-e Hamsaram before gaining attention for her role in the 2013 film No Where No Body.
In 2015, Taherian stirred controversy when she posted pictures of herself without a hijab on social media as a demonstration against the country’s dress code regulations. This led to backlash from authorities who banned her from acting and digitally altered her photos to include a hijab.
