Ruth Perry (born July 16, 1939) is a Liberian politician. She served as the Chairwoman of the Council of the State of Liberia from 1996 to 1997 and played a significant role in healing her country in the aftermath of the First Liberian Civil War. Prior to her political career, she graduated from the Teachers College of the University of Liberia and worked as an elementary school teacher.
Perry made history as the first female president of Liberia. She is married to McDonald Perry, with whom she has seven children.
