About Ruslana Korshunova
Ruslana Korshunova was a Russian-born fashion model known for her work with the French version of Elle magazine and the Russian and Polish editions of Vogue. Tragically, she took her own life shortly before her twenty-first birthday.
Korshunova gained fame in the early 2000s after being scouted by Models 1 at the age of fifteen. She spoke multiple languages, including Kazakh, Russian, German, and English.
She was remembered fondly by friends as someone who appeared to be thriving despite struggling with mental health issues before her death. Born in 1987 in Russia, Korshunova’s father passed away during her early childhood years. She was raised alongside her brother Ruslan by their mother Valentina Kutenkova.
