About Roxanne Conrad
Roxanne Conrad, born on April 27, 1962, in Texas, is a renowned novelist best known for her work under the pen name Rachel Caine. She gained widespread recognition for creating the popular Weather Warden and Morganville Vampires series.
Before achieving literary success, she studied accounting and music at Texas Tech University. Following a career as a professional session musician, she began writing stories in 1990.
In addition to her well-known pseudonym, Roxanne also published works under other names such as Roxanne Longstreet (her maiden name), Ian Hammel, and Julie Fortune. Under her married name of Roxanne Conrad, she authored several books including Copper Moon (1997), Bridge of Shadows (1998), and Exile, Texas (2003).
Roxanne is married to artist Cat Conrad with whom she resides in north Texas.
