About Rosebud Baker
Rosebud Baker is an American comedian, actress, and writer known for her dark humor and satirical stories. She was born on March 16, 1985. Her career includes a recurring role on the Hulu series Life & Beth and the premiere of her debut comedy special, Whiskey Fists, on Comedy Central in 2021.
Baker also worked as a writer for Saturday Night Live and hosts the podcasts Devil’s Advocate and Find Your Beach.
Before gaining fame in comedy, Baker had unique experiences such as frequently visiting the White House as a child and spending time with George H.W. Bush’s grandchildren. As a teenager though, she faced challenges including battling an eating disorder and alcoholism before getting sober in 2007.
A significant aspect of Baker’s life is tied to a personal tragedy – in December 2007 Congress passed what would become known as the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act named after her sister who tragically died by drowning at age seven in 2002.
Baker is married to comedian Andy Haynes. She comes from a prominent family – her father James “Jamie” Baker IV was once a senior partner at Baker Botts L.L.P., while her mother Nancy Baker is an artist. Additionally, Rosebud has three surviving sisters; her grandfather is James Addison Baker III who held high-ranking roles during both Ronald Reagan’s Presidency and that of George H.W. Bush.
