Rose McGowan Bikini
Rose McGowan is an American actress and director. She is best known for her role as Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series “Charmed” from 2001 to 2006. She has also appeared in a number of films, including “The Doom Generation”, “Jawbreaker”, “Scream”, and “Grindhouse”. In 2014, she made her directorial debut with the short film “Dawn”.
McGowan was born and raised in Italy, the daughter of Terri, an American author of children’s books, and Daniel McGowan, an artist. She has Irish and French ancestry. When she was 10 years old, her family moved to the United States after her father developed multiple sclerosis. They settled in Eugene, Oregon, where she attended Roosevelt Middle School and Churchill High School. She began acting professionally at the age of 15 with a small role in the TV movie “Dark Shadows” (1991). After moving to Los Angeles, she appeared in several television shows before landing a supporting role in Gregg Araki’s dark comedy “The Doom Generation” (1995).
McGowan achieved prominence for her role as Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series “Charmed” from 2001 to 2006. During this time she also starred in the independent films “Southie” (1998) and “Ready to Rumble” (2000). McGowan has had leading roles in several mainstream movies, including Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse double feature “Planet Terror” (2007) and Quentin Tarantino’s segment “Death Proof” (2007), as well as starring roles in such independent films as Jon Favreau’s “Made” (2001), James Toback’s “Harvard Man” (2001),and Brian De Palma’s “Redacted” (2007). In recent years she has appeared on the television series ��Nip/Tuck’, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’, ‘Californication’, ‘Once Upon a Time’ and ‘Chosen’. In 2014 she made her directorial debut with the short film Dawn.
