About Rocio Monasterio
Rocio Monasterio is a Cuban-born Spanish politician and architect, born on February 4, 1973. She is known for her role as President of the Vox Madrid political party and also serves as the founder of Platform for Liberties. This organization focuses on addressing gender ideology and various economic and international issues.
Prior to her political career, Monasterio began as an architect after graduating from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2002, she established her own design studio called Rocio Monasterio y Asociados. It was in 2014 that she entered politics by joining the Vox party in Madrid.
Monasterio’s achievements include receiving the ACSA Otis Award in 1997 at the International Student Design Competition held in Hong Kong.
Born in Cuba and raised in Madrid, Monasterio comes from a family with a Cuban father and Spanish mother.
