About Robin Roberts
Robin Roberts is a well-known TV show host, born on November 23, 1960 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She gained popularity as the host of ABC’s Good Morning America and previously worked as an ESPN sportscaster for over five years.
Prior to her successful career in broadcasting, Roberts turned down a scholarship to play women’s college basketball at Louisiana State University. In 2007, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and later in 2012 she was diagnosed with MDS.
Roberts’ mother, Lucimarian Roberts passed away in August of 2012 at the age of eighty-eight. She grew up with three older siblings and has been in a relationship with her partner Amber Laign since 2005.
