About Riza Santos
Riza Santos is a Canadian pageant contestant, born on August 31, 1986. She is known for her titles as Miss Universe Canada in 2013, Miss World Canada in 2011, and Miss Earth Canada in 2006. Santos gained additional fame through her participation in the second season of Pinoy Big Brother’s Celebrity Edition and her work as a television host during the 2008 and 2009 Asian Poker Tours.
Before pursuing pageantry and television, Santos studied engineering at the University of Calgary and worked for the Canadian International Development Agency.
A noteworthy event in Santos’ career occurred when a clerical error initially named another contestant as the winner of Miss Universe Canada 2013. It was later discovered that Santos had actually won the competition.
Santos comes from a diverse background with Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish heritage. She grew up in Calgary, Alberta alongside her family.
