Riya, born on February 18, 1982 in Japan, is a prominent pop singer known for her role as the lead singer and lyricist of the J-pop band Eufonius. She achieved solo success with the release of her album Love Song in 2005 under the label Key Sounds.
Before rising to fame, Riya drew inspiration from Japanese singer, songwriter, and lyricist Akino Arai. Notably, her song “Mawaru Sekai de” served as the opening theme for the Playstation 2 game Akai Ito while “Crescent Moon” was featured as the opening theme for both Dreamcast and Playstation 2 game Suigetsu ~mayoigokoro~.
Riya hails from Fukuoka, Japan.
