Riley Gaines Barker (born April 22, 2000) is a swimmer from Tennessee, known for her achievements as an NCAA champion at the University of Kentucky. She holds the title of a 12-time All-American swimming champion and has garnered over 300,000 followers on her Instagram account ‘rileygbarker’.
Gaines began swimming at a young age and started competing at a high level by the age of 12. In addition to her athletic pursuits, she has been an advocate for women’s sports and has spoken out against male athletes who identify as trans participating in women’s sports. She gave a speech at the Independent Women’s Forum and appeared on Fox News to discuss this issue.
