About Rieka Roslan
Rieka Roslan, born on January 23, 1970 in Indonesia, is a world music singer known for her contributions to jazz, soul, and fusion. She gained recognition as the vocalist for the group The Groove which achieved substantial success following their debut in 1997. Notably, she has also launched several well-received solo albums.
Prior to gaining fame with The Groove, the band was established in 1997 and released its first album “Kuingin” by 1999.
In addition to her work with The Groove and as a solo artist, Rieka Roslan co-founded the five-member singing group 5 Wanita in 2008. In her personal life, she married Muhamad Amri Akil in 2011.
