Rica Reinisch is a German swimmer, born on April 6, 1965. She gained fame for her outstanding performance at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, where she secured three gold medals and set four world records in the process.
Reinisch embarked on her competitive swimming journey at the age of 8 and quickly rose to prominence in the sport.
Despite her success, Reinisch was under suspicion of having been administered steroids by coaches instructed by the Stasi.
Outside of her career as an athlete, Reinisch has built a family with two children, both of whom have pursued competitive swimming as well.
