Rhonda Shear, born on November 12, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a former beauty queen and movie actress. She is known for her role in the 1985 comedy Basic Training and as the host of USA’s Up All Night from 1991 to 1998.
Before her rise to fame, Shear won Miss Louisiana and Miss USA in 1975 before transitioning into television. In addition to her pageant successes and acting career, she also starred in the comedy Basic Training.
In 2001, she married Van Fagan and two years later they co-founded Shear Enterprises LLC.
