Rhea Butcher was born on August 12, 1982, in Akron, Ohio. She is a comedian known for her stand-up comedy and acting roles. Butcher released her debut stand-up album called “Butcher” and has appeared on podcasts such as “Put Your Hands Together” and “Wham Bam Pow.” She co-created the Seeso television series “Take My Wife” and had a recurring role on TruTV’s “Adam Ruins Everything.”
Before pursuing a career in comedy, Butcher was a skateboarder. She later trained at Second City in Chicago, Illinois. Notably, she performed at the inaugural Chicago Women’s Funny Festival and won the 2012 OutLoud Chicago Queer Comedy contest. Additionally, she appeared in BuzzFeed videos titled Ask a Lesbian.
Butcher is married to Cameron Esposito, with whom she stars on the show Take My Wife.
