Renee Downer (born September 23, 2002) is a British pop singer and an original member of the girl group Flo, along with Jorja Douglas and Stella Quaresma. She was born in London, England and grew up listening to R&B, house, and church gospel in North London. Downer attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School before forming the group Flo in 2019.
Flo achieved significant success early on by ranking first on the BBC’s Sound of 2023 poll and winning the 2023 Brit Award for Rising Star, making them the first female group to achieve both accolades in the same year. In 2022 they released their debut extended play titled The Lead which further solidified their place in the music industry.
Before her rise to fame with Flo, Renee worked at H&M and met Stella while studying at the same theater school. Together with Jorja Douglas who was discovered through her videos on Instagram, they quickly gained recognition as a talented trio.
Despite achieving fame as a pop singer, Renee remains rooted in her Christian faith. Her Instagram account boasts over 130,000 followers reflecting her growing influence as an artist. She continues to hail from North London alongside her family.
