Regina Hicks is an American screenwriter known for her work on various television series and movies. She was born on January 7, 1111 in the United States.
Hicks attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in TV Production and a Master of Fine Arts in Drama.
She has worked as a co-executive producer on The L Word: Generation Q and is best known for creating and executive producing the Netflix comedy The Upshaws. Her writing credits also include popular shows such as Insecure, Girlfriends, Uncle Buck, Marlon, Are We There Yet?, and Instant Mom.
In 2021, Hicks signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to create, write, and produce new series and projects.
Notably, she has co-scripted several successful television movies including Jump In!, Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam for the Disney Channel and Sister Act 3 for Disney+.
Hicks resides in Los Angeles, California with her two Golden Retrievers – Finely and Ally.
